Students completing the B.Sc. Mar. Biol. programme should be able to:
- Interpret the major principles in marine biology and marine biological systems;
- Display advanced working knowledge of the main groups of marine living organisms;
- Show competency in analysing the complexities of the marine environment;
- Display knowledge of allied sciences (chemistry, physics and mathematics);
- Explain contemporary topical issues in marine biology;
- Demonstrate an intermediate level of understanding of marine resource conservation and management:
- Demonstrate safe practices in both field and laboratory situations;
