Entry Requirements


Description
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 2.0 or above and (1) year of Industrial Attachment. (For the 2 - year advanced portion (i.e commencing year 3)
Associate of Science - Electrical Engineering.
A Diploma in Industrial Engineering or its equivalent plus successful completion of six Bridging courses (ELE2104, ELE2204, ELT2106, ELT2206/ELE2116, EMT2101/EMT1200 and EMT2201/EMT2100).
Five (5) CSEC subjects inclusive of Mathematics, English A, Physics or Chemistry or Electrical and Electronic Technology.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a GPA less than 2.0 (applicable ti pre-2007 Diploma entrants), and two (2) years Industrial Attachment.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a GPA less than 2.0 (applicable ti pre-2007 Diploma entrants), and two (2) years Industrial Attachment.
Any qualification considered by the University to be equivalent to any of the above.
Equivalent International Qualification.
Applicants with five (5) subjects, but without passes in English or Mathematics or Physics, are required to write a Qualifying Examination. Applicants without Physics can also opt for the Pre-University Physics course offered by the Faculty.
Guyana Technical Education Examination Technician Certificates (G.T.E.E.), Parts 1 and 11 in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications.
