| A minimum of five (5) subjects at CSEC including Mathematics and English Language at Grades I, II or III at the General Proficiency Level or five (5) IGCSE/GCE 'O' levels grades A-C or any recognized High School Diploma or equivalent. |
| CPCE Trained Teachers' Certificate / Associate Degree in Education. |
| (A) Commonwealth Diploma / Certificate in Youth Work |
| Diploma in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / or related field. |
| Persons who possess at least three (3) passes at CSEC together with five (5) years of active involvement in Youth or Community Work with a recognized organization or agency will be considered for admission, provided they are successful at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE). |
| Mature age (a minimum of 21 years in the calendar year in which entry is being sought) provided they are successful at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE). |
| Any other qualification considered by the University of Guyana to be equivalent to any of the above. |
