UG Completes Phase One of Train the Trainers Programme for Police Academy as Part of a Larger Project of Improving Police Operations

The University of Guyana through its Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CoETal) under a Guyana Police Force – University of Guyana Multi-Year agreement completed phase 1 of a Train the Trainers programme for the re-tooling of the Police Academy.

The programme which was chaired by UG’s Director of Events, Conferences and Communication, Mr. Jainarine Deonauth was launched on February 28, 2022. The programme saw 75 Police Training Officers being equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge in pedagogy and andragogy.

The Amerindian Research Unit (ARU) through the Faculty of Education and Humanities, Department of Language and Cultural Studies is pleased to share with you the 25th Issue of the Archaeology and Anthropology Journal.

The Archaeology and Anthropology Journal is a peer-reviewed open-access journal publishing articles, reports and book reviews. Though the journal’s primary focus is the archaeology and anthropology of Guyana—contributions relating to the Caribbean and Northern Amazonian areas are welcomed. The journal is published once a year in November.
