● At least a Master’s degree in the appropriate specialisation and the relevant Post Graduate Teaching Degree/ Diploma, OR
● BSc. or BA Degree in the area of specialisation (Pass with Distinction or Credit) plus a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
● Post-secondary teaching experience in the specialisation will be an asset

TUTORS
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified persons for the part-time Tutors position in all specialisations listed above. Persons with qualifications in the following areas could also apply, and their CVs will be kept on file for future job openings: Administration, Psychology, Educational Technology, Statistics, Guidance and Counselling, Research Methods, Curriculum, Testing and Measurement, Conflict Management and Mediation.
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
● BEd. degree in the appropriate specialisation (Pass with Distinction or Credit) plus five years’ BEd. post-graduation teaching experience in the subject area, preferably at the post-secondary level, OR
● BSc. or BA Degree in the area of specialisation (Pass with Distinction or Credit) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education plus five years’ post-graduation teaching experience, preferably at the tertiary level.
APPLICANTS FOR POST-GRADUATE COURSES
Applicants for Post Graduate courses must be at the level of Lecturer II, Senior Lecturer, Reader, or Professor
Qualification and Experience
● At least a PhD in area of specialisation and relevant Post-Graduate Teaching Diploma/Degree.
● At least 2 years’ experience teaching in higher or post-graduate education.
● Applicants desirous of serving as thesis supervisors require at least three (3) peer-reviewed publications from internationally recognised journals.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
⮚ Ability to teach and supervise using new and innovative virtual learning modes and techniques is a requirement
⮚ Expertise in synchronous and asynchronous course delivery and facilitating autonomous off-campus learning and experimentation
⮚ Skills to promote critical thinking, reflective and self-correcting teaching and research practice
⮚ Exhibit strong communication and cultural competence, and the capacity to foster positive relationships across diverse groups of teachers/educators
⮚ Ability to utilise modern technologies in education, student learning management systems and other virtual learning modes of delivery
⮚ Ability to collaborate well with teams of diverse lecturers and staff
⮚ Committed to work between 5 am – 10 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am – 6 pm on Saturdays
⮚ Available between 9 am – 6 pm for face-to-face engagements and laboratory/field work during Christmas, Easter and August school vacation
Additional Requirement for Post-Graduate Courses
- Ability to teach courses in research methodology (qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research)
- Commitment to excellent research supervision and cultural competence with the capacity to foster positive supervisor -supervisee relationships
- Cultural competence to navigate diverse approaches to supervision and tailor practice to the
students’ diverse needs
