Inaugural Conference for for Social Work administrators, practitioners and educators will be held in Guyana on July 20 and 21, 2016 under the theme Standards for Professional Social Work Practice. This conference aims to allow key stakeholders to examine their practice and present research thereby contributing to the knowledge on the needs for ethical and professional practice in Guyana.
On February 11, 12 and 13, 2016, the recently appointed University of Guyana Transformational Task held its initial working session at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre, Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown.
The 30 member Task Force comprised of representatives from constituent groups of the University, stakeholders representing the Government of Guyana, the private sector, civil society, and regional and international academics and professionals.

Please be advised that with reference to final examinations scheduled to commence on November 30, 2015, and last until December 18, 2015; you will be required as is customary to walk with and produce your updated Student ID Cards and examination slips to invigilators before you are allowed to enter the examination room.
Please be advised that the issuance of the new student ID cards for the year 2015/2016 commenced on Monday, November 2, 2015.
Student ID cards will be issued between the hours of 8:30 h – 12:00 h and 13:00 h – 16:00 h (Mon – Fri) and 9:00 h – 12:00 h and 13:00 – 16:00 h (Sat), at the Centre for Information Technology (CIT) building, Lab 2 (Ground Floor).
In order to successfully receive your ID card on the assigned date, please ensure you have in your possession the following documents:
Q: How do I know if I am graduating?
A: All prospective graduates may check with their Faculty/School to determine their eligibility to graduate and also their grades summary/profile utilizing the online student account interface. Additionally, prospective graduates are encouraged to check with the Examinations and/or the Students’ Welfare Division to confirm approval of their profile at the final board of examiners.
